Beards in banking

Does every bank require analysts to shave daily?

I have seen CEOs sporting beards, but well, they are CEOs.
It's not that I'm too lazy to shave in the mornings; I'm asking because I get razor bumps when I shave... the more often the worse.

I don't think you need to shave every day, assuming you don't get a ridiculous 5 o'clock shadow. Just look neat and that's all that matters. Obviously it matters more if you are client-facing. I think you should be clean shaven all the time if you are meeting clients.

I have met a few guys with pretty hefty beards, but they were pretty senior traders...

As said above, it probably depends heavily on how client-facing your role is.
If you are Italian maybe you can get away with a moustache!

Sounds like you need to look into new skin-care / shaving products more than anything! (serious)

Shaving is the safe way to go, you dont want to miss out on a deal, because a client was put off by the breadcrumbs in your face fuzz.

The other day I saw a guy with a 5/6-day stubble at an RBS Global Markets AC. He seemed pretty confident in the peer interaction sphere. I wonder if he made it through...
