I'm doing my hw and I'm stuck on this question:

Explain what would happen in a fusion reactor if the plasma touched the sides of the container.

Well how hot must deuterium be to undergo fusion? This is the lowest possible temperature at which fusion can occur. Think about what would happen to a piece of metal if it suddenly was heated up to this sort of temperature. That should give you an idea as to what would happen :smile:
