I used to play for my county a few years ago.. men's team. When I was 16. :smile:

There's no one winning opening... just make sure you develop your pieces whilst protecting your king.

I like to exchange off a lot of my pieces very early on, grabbing an extra pawn here or there, since I will beat a lot of people at the end game.

btw what was your grade? mine's 103 (approx 1765 elo)

I played for Suffolk.

My rating fluctuated betweeen 100 and 105. :redface:

A few years ago I played against Cambridge Chess & Go, they had two young brothers playing for them... Eckersley-Waites was their surname. I think they play for England at some level now! :eek:

I haven't played regularly for 2 years now, I need to get back into it!

Nah nah chess is a good game....i used to play when i was younger coz i gotta sharp mind...then not long ago a mate of mines who's never been beat asked me to play....we've played three times and now im hooked again. Its really good for the brain cause you really use your mind and it takes your mind off anything thats bothering you (Unless you aint got the patience for chess then this aint for you!!!!)
