I reassure you
With regard to your application for maths, I know we've realised that Cambridge interviews abroad but have you made enquirees about other UK institutions that you'll be applying to, for maths?

None of the other unis I'm applying to do interviews for maths. Imperial does sometimes for borderline cases (though I'd like to think I wouldn't be a borderline case :colone:), but those can be done on Skype for international students.

I have an M2 and Fp1 book which I'll be self-studying over summer along with an easy module. Have no idea what that easy module will be though as the maths department haven't made up their minds how they are doing FM next year and what modules they'll offer.

Very nice, which other modules have you already taken as an easy one would probably be D1 if you haven't already taken it but it is incredibly boring! I'm planning on self teaching M3 and FP3 before I go to university in October so I don't feel I'm at a disadvantage with the modules I've taken.

D1? :dontknow: You could do that in a day tbh

Chances are you'd end up with an E on the exam though lol.

I personally think D1 is the hardest maths module by far.. Am I the only one of that opinion?

I got through about 70% of the content in a couple of hours, then got bored and decided to do it next year

Well, you're two to one

It all depends. If I do D1 with the class, then I might selfstudy D2, or M2 as I'm already doing.

Lol I guess I'm just lacking terribly in common sense. Which makes sense (pun not intended)

Justin: Are you sure it was boredom? Why are earth are you doing D1 anyway when you have the capacity to do the more interesting mechanics and stats modules? Is it because you're doing AFM and thus are at a limitation for available modules?
Anyone: AS OCR MEI have other maths modules besides the normal ones, is it possible to do AAFM on their board. I've heard "AAFM" mentioned before but assumed that the individual was trolling.

Yeah. Having to remember definitions is never fun though

Self study FP2 instead then as I'm sure you'll love all the complex numbers part and it'll expand on DE's from C4

Hardest module out of all modules, or out of the 1 modules?

The problem with that is that I've heard Fp2>Fp3 and Fp3 seems to cover a lot of content, based on glances at the notebook of one of my FM buddies.

I had to go through AS geography, so many goddamn definitions :zomg:

That's the one and yeah, I still wasn't going to let her beat me so I got introduced into what her syllabus covers and it had stuff like Number Theory and Group Theory and so on, it was quite an eye opener!

Group Theory (At least pre-university level) isn't all that difficult. You can learn enough to tackle Group Theory questions on the older STEP papers within about an hour (It's essentially just learning the group axioms...) and I'm fairly sure that at least one UK exam board (MEI springs to mind) teaches groups on its syllabus.

Yeah, boredom. It was ridiculously easy, though.

Exactly that, I'm interesting in doing all the other modules other than D1 and D2. They're just two modules though, so might as well do them too so I can get the full A2 AFM qualification :dontknow:

Yup but when I printed it out (I do my exams apart from maths on computer  ) I had this massive block of text on my main argument, I also said that if there was a high exchange rate their could be lower demand for exports, and therefore lower demand for jobs and more unemployment as the circular flow of income has being affected by exchange rates (injections/withdrawals) then this would lead to unemployment which would lead to perhaps a higher payment of benefits which would lead to more government spending increasing inflation and perhaps a higher multiplier effect :teehee: . Loved every second of it

Same here!, well maths, fm and econ all are my subjects next year, history can go die in a hole. Seriously the amount of content is mind boggling  . Was the 69/75 in C2 perhaps? I am sure you'll still break 90 (most likely)

I am sure that you will get 3A's

Awesome choices your throwing around there, I was also considering maths+econ at some point, but if I did my PS would probably be weaker, and I'd have less interest in the course so its good that I changed to pure maths .

I do want to specialise in stats though at university, want to work in some sort of business using complex maths .

Very nice choices!, all in London as far as I know ? :P I'm from London and I want to gtfo immediately, I've being here all my life and its just boring now, so hence my uni choices are thus far. Cambridge, Bristol, Exeter, Warwick and one other. But I hope you get into the uni you want, noticed that pretty mcuh all of your unis apart from city have and L in them . Sorry for the wall of text xP

Very nice  My 30 marks was on using supply side policies for economic growth haha guaranteed 26/30! Yeah Psychology is an interesting subject but I don't like revising for it etc!
Nah 69 for c1, 60 for s1 and I should get 65 for c2 (Will be defo be a high B for Maths lols)

Ahh I see thats pretty cool, yup I've been here all my life but I have too many commitments so I can't escape, I'll feel left out if I go too far and miss out on the fun as we have loads of weddings, festivals etc which I really like!

I was looking at Warwick for MMORSE, but like I said it ends up being too far for me
Haha yup but you could abbreviate that name to 'CUL' if you wanted to (but no one says that LOL)
Thanks me to! I hope you also get into the uni you want

D1 is the easiest by far in my opinion. M5 is hardest.
