I wanted to ask what is the difference between Forensic Science and Archaeology?

What is the difference, I'm going to do my personal statement for forensic science so I was wondering when I type in forensic science, archaeology etc comes up, so can I apply for that as well ?

Forensic science is (at least on my course it is) learning about how to do all the techniques they do in forensics, along with analytical techniques in the lab - archaeology is mostly looking at history and soil and digging I believe... Obviously there's a lot more to it than that, I just don't know more, and I'm exhausted...
