What is the mass of carbon dioxide when one gram of methane & butane are combusted?

What is the mass of carbon dioxide when one gram of methane & butane are combusted?

I know it's really rudimentary, but I think I'm doing something wrong because of the "one gram". Please can someone else answer the question.

I'll move this to the chemistry section so you hopefully get a reply

I suspect that you set up two different equations and use the '1 gram' information to calculate the mole-to-mole ratio and thus the number of moles of Carbon Dioxide produced from each equation, and add them together.
