Need Investment banking career advice

So I'm going to be studying finance and banking next year and Manchester metropolitan and I realise now that it's not a Russel group university and this greatly affects tier one banking groups decision to hire. However my plan is to try and get a first in my degree then try and try and get into a good Russel group uni to do a masters in finance or a more specific field. My question is will this help in my search for a job in a tier one banking group if my undergraduate degree came from a non Russel group uni.
