How many numbers between x and y
I'm always baffled at questions like "How many numbers are there between 99 and 1000" do you include the numbers 99 and 1000? Do you include 1000 but not 99? Or do exclude both? Normally the question doesn't tell you what to include or exclude.

If the question said to find how many numbers between any given x and y inclusive then you can do (x-y)+1.
What if the question didn't say inclusive? Here's an example question: How many numbers are there between 99 and 1000?
