2.5g of a sample of ethanediol can acid, H2C2O4.nH2O, was dissolved in water and the solution made up to 250cm3. This solution was placed in a burette and 15.8cm3 were required to neutralise 25cm3 of 0.1mol dm-3 NaOH. Given that ethanediol acid reacts with NaOH in a 1:2 ratio, calculate the value of n.

i've gotten up to getting 126.4 as the Mr. I can't find a value for n.
oh, i just did 126.4- mr of molecule (which is 90) then i just did trial and error of 90 + (18 x n) until i got 5 as the correct number which made 126.4

I done: Mols of NaOH= 2.5x10^-3 Mols of H2C2O4 in 15.8cm = 1.25x10^-3 Mols of H2C2O4 in 250cm = 0.019 mass of H2C2O4 = 1.78g mass of water = 0.72g mols of H2O = 0.04 0.019:0.04 = 1:2 therefore x=2? maybe?
