cell differentiation

can someone please check my understanding

Cell differentiation is the process by which a cell changes to become specialised. As organisms develop, the cells differentiate. During differentiation the cell gets different subcellular structures that enable it to carry out a particular function - it has become a specialised cell.

That’s right. I’d also add that cells start off as stem cells, as they become differentiated some genes get switched on/off allowing them to produce different proteins. For example, red blood cells will switch on haemoglobin production.
