I have lived in Swaythling for 25 years,
It’s fine!
I went to Southampton uni which I finished in 2005.
My friend is a student landlady, currently with her property full tenanted!
It’s opposite macdonalds!
The only drawback is it can be noisy as Macdonalds is 24/7
Anyone interested in Pokémon go there are lots of stops and gyms locally.

Hi, as you lived in Swathling for 25 years. Would you say that High Road, near MacDonalds, is a safe enough place for students?

Absolutely. It’s a fab place lots of shops and takeaways. Perfect for buses and trains. I don’t intend to go anywhere else x Quietish, most noise comes from ambulances enroute to the hospital. It’s fine x
