Josephine Butler vs John Snow

Hello, all

I’m currently torn between Josephine Butler and John Snow as my top choice college. I love the bar, the atmosphere, the societies of Josephine Butler (and their fairly large rooms seem a bonus), but John Snow has more modern facilities, both as a stand-alone and shared with South College, and their rooms also look excellent.

Is there anything I’m missing that would tug me one way or the other? I visited both at the post-offer day, and was impressed by both of them, however, I only got to see a John Snow flat (Josephine Butler wasn’t available for viewing)

Although there aren't many differences between the two, I can list some tiny ones that I know of:

1. A 3-year JCR levy for John Snow in 22-23 was £135 while the same for Butler was £146. The gym membership for Butler is also much cheaper than Snow but I haven't visited the Butler gym so don't know how modern it is. John Snow one is definitely new and has good equipment.

Hi how are the rooms allocated ? Will they allocate us based on the forms and then allocate each student per room or are students able to choose the rooms first based on first come first serve basis.
