GCSE maths 2023 exams

Quick question, if there was a question given on drawing graphs, are we supposed to use pen after using a pencil? My maths teacher said we should because it will be scanned by the machines and it will not appear. I am not sure if I should use pencil or pen???

Yeah, that is what my old maths teacher had said, but my new maths teacher said that I should go over it in pen so I actually do not know what to do. I may ask another maths teacher to clarify.
