Pharmacy assistant/technician

Hi there,

I'm looking into the level 2 pharmacy assistant apprenticeships that would potentially lead into a level 3 and wanted to hear about people's experiences with it to figure out if it's for me or not. What would I expect during the apprenticeship? Did you enjoy it? What are your pros/cons? I am interested in the health/science sector but I don't want to go into dentistry and pharmacy is all that seems to pop up other than that so I've been considering it, thinking I might enjoy it.

Also, going from level 2 to the level 3, would the pay go back down to the apprenticeship wage starting the new level, or would it still count that you've already done a year of an apprenticeship?

Has anyone gone on to do a pharmacy degree after their apprenticeship as well? Not sure if I'd be interested in doing all that as it's a long course and I'd have to fund it myself having already been at uni, but it's nice to hear the options out there.
