I will be starting my second year in uni in Sep. I’m studying Computer Science. I want to do a summer internship next summer. What advice would give me to build up my CV and where to apply?

Hi there, Computer Science student here. Here are some things you can do to build up your cv:

- Take online short courses FutureLearn offers mini courses by Accenture and Samsung and they look good on a cv (make sure to select the 'free digital upgrade option - then you can get a certificate of completion)

- Unidays also offers free Microsoft certifications

- Forage offers virtual work experience

- Springpod offers similar opportunities to forage

In regards to where to apply and when; start applying in your first year - it's best to get work experience early, there are a lot of companies too:
- Google
-Apple
-Nvidia
-Sky
-BAE Systems
- Samsung
-Microsoft
-PlayStation
-Sega
- and many more

Total Jobs
-Target Jobs
-Milkround

- Handshake (you'll probably get an account when you start uni)
