It depends on what you value, really, although I think the accommodations in the Student Village are the best, since they're actually on campus (there are 3 or 4 halls that are not on campus per se, but a 5 minute walk away from it, I think they're denoted as "perimeter" on the application form). Pooley and Feilden House have good rooms but you share the kitchen with loads of people which may or may not be ideal for you. There are a bunch of little houses right by the canal which have cheap rooms but are very basic. The en-suite rooms in accommodations like Maurice, Creed and Beaumont court are nice, you've got your own bathroom that you don't share with anybody although the kitchens aren't as new as the ones in Pooley or Feilden. But conversely, you don't share it with as many people so keeping it clean should be a bit easier.

On the Queen Mary halls website, you'll find online tours of each accommodation. I'd recommend you check them out as they're accurate to what you can expect to find in each hall.

Hi, I am interested in either Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Mechanical engineering at Queen Mary's. Please could you explain what they base their admissions on, especially how important GCSE grades are? Also the support for emmployability and extracurricular projects to engage with?
