Do teachers and students feel the grade boundaries were fair this year and the right number of top grades awarded?
To be honest with my components, I think so. For a 9 last year it would have been 165/200 but this year it was 168/200- an increase of 1.5%. I know the exam boards are trying to get the grade boundaries back to pre-covid levels and compared to other exam boards, I don't think there was a huge shift but it would be good to hear other's opinions.
Out of interest, does the board ever award 200 out of 200?
I'm sure they would. I had 50/50 for one of my papers so full marks, I'm sure, will be possible I also know people who have got 100% on the Latin language paper so I'm sure it'll be the same.
Yeah they were definitely high boundaries but most in my class got 8s and 9s but i guess because less people take it the grade boundaries will increase, plus covid :/
