im a little worried about kcl as they seem have higher cut offs previously but im not sure if it will go down this year because of more comp in imperial, ucl oxbridge. probably am gonna apply anyways i think. have you already applied?

Hi guys! 🙂
Firstly, well done on your great stats!
Have you guys considered UEA, as you have hit the entry requirements. You can have a look here if you'd like to know more. UEA has a teaching hospital that is very close by and medicine students start practical work there from their first year.
If you are interested, I'd recommend coming to an open day, although I appreciate the upcoming one is after the Medicine application deadline. UEA have a virtual open day you can access 24/7.
I appreciate this is a stressful time for students who are applying for medicine, so please feel free to ask any questions you may have!
Good luck with your applications!

yeah, people have told me that I’ve got a good shot and others have told me I should apply somewhere else. However, their cutoffs are lower than our score and band 1 will be really good as this year the number of people who got band 1 was half of last year. I also know med students with lower/similar scores to ours currently studying there and the threshold is likely to be similar to last year as well. I’m applying to it as my aspirational choice with other safer universities just in case. I haven’t applied yet but my school will tell me to send off my ucas app any day now so I’ve kinda firmed it. I would say if you’ve got good predicted grades and GCSEs then go for it, especially as your other choices are much safer
