Cov is NOT a serious uni 😭, like if you say you’re going there for the education your lyinggggg. It’s like v much known for be v social and unserious, like ppl js be having sx n shi every night and no one attends there lectures n ppl drop out and drinking n drug culture is vv high there. Like I’m the SCHOOL itself isant bad but the ppl who apply r rly js going for one thing- most of the time.

Probs like city university London, Umm maybe like Royal Holloway, University of Essex, like the grade boundaries aren’t too high and they offer a lot of support and scholarships, but obvi if you’re wanting to go London, it’s gonna be more important that other unis 🤷🏾*♀️

Also, specifically Esssex is good for law, they have a free law clinic that the undergrads can use and they are a leading uni in terms for research in law

Hi there Anon, Coventry University Student Ambassador here 👋
From my perspective as a Computing BSc student in my final year, Cov Uni has been a great place to study. One key thing I've learned during my time here is that your uni experience is very much what you make of it. I never felt much academic pressure and strictness you would see in Oxford or Warwick, for example, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. My work ethic is to be independent and take initiative with my learning, ultimately leading to the success of my grades depending on my own efforts and dedication.

If you put in the effort and take advantage of the resources available, such as using our

24-hour Lanchester Library

Sigma Maths and Stats Support

The DLC centre to have 1-1 meetings with lecturers,

and so much more, you'll find you will achieve great results. It is about discipline and managing your own learning. If you struggle with self-motivation, I have used a success coach at Cov Uni that guided me on all things from mental health, academic difficulties, and help with following plans through. I can firsthand say they have been very helpful in times where I've struggled to find my way through university.

It's important to note that bad experiences can come from any university and each individual has a tailored experience. You can take advantage of a wide variety of networking opportunities such as our:
I hope this gives you some insight into Coventry University's academic life and opportunities. I wish you all the best with your studies! Please feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions 😄
