do BMO and STEP seem like a joke after good maths degree course?

When I look back at things like junior maths challenge and intermediate one, they seem really easy, but I found them hard at the time. I don't know specific things which I didn't know then which help with the problems, I think I've just had more practise at maths.

Is this the same if you've done a degree in maths, and then look back at a senior maths challenge/BMO1 or 2 paper/STEP paper?
I find these exams quite difficult, so would they seem really easy if I did a degree? Do these exams matter for anything after you have a degree?

step becomes very easy, bmo does not.

I wouldn't even say STEP becomes very easy. But I do seem to be relatively bad at STEP / good at Tripos questions. (Or at least was, if you see what I mean).
Do BMO1/2 and STEP become another example of learning exam technique after enough past papers, or will there always be a lot of thought involved?

The latter.

It's only after doing STEP that you realise how silly the A-level course is...
