Right! I got 10 A's and one A* which happened to be in Biology. My question is, are those good enough grades? I've been told by a seemingly harsh teacher that it's not enough. It's really bothering me, I've emailed a couple of admissions teams to ask if they need A*s they've said no, but I feel like they'd still matter. Most students have quite a few A* grades. Am I still alright to bother applying? In terms of A-levels, well i'm in the process of completing internals which will go towards predicted grades so I have no idea. I'm hoping for 3A's in Biology, Chemistry and English Literature.
I'm adamant in applying to medicine, but it's external criticism of my grades that's just bringing me down. Also don't think I'm disappointed in these grades, I was actually very surprised and I'm proud of them. The "seemingly harsh" teacher said in the school I'm in, it's not quite up to par...
