UCAT ninja thoughts?

Hi, has anyone used UCAT ninja (by 6med) for UCAT revision? I'm using it atm but seem to be getting a few questions repeated frequently. Is anyone else having the same issue?

me personally i wouldn't recommend ucat ninja. If you haven't used medify yet and you can afford it its best to try it instead

Is there a specific reason why you wouldn’t recommend it? I used Medify last year but because I didn’t do as well as I wanted to in the actual UCAT, I think it kind of put me off using it altogether. I was leaning towards medentry this time around (no bad memories associated with this one yet🤣) but don’t know how it compares to medify or ucat ninja (even though I didn’t do as well in the UCAT last year, it was entirely my own fault and medify itself was brilliant, so I was hoping ucat ninja would compare)

i used medify last year and (my score was entirely my own fault because i only decided to start revising when i had 17 days left. i've learnt my lesson) i ended up scoring around 100 more than i was averaging on medify. i tried ucat ninja this time around for a week while using medify and it's not as challenging as medify and you can't tailor revision towards a certain subtopic on ucat ninja ( its just messy imo). I wouldn't not recommed medentry but recently they've been sponsoring many ppl to give away discount codes etc and personally it just seems too risky. since i used medify last year and thought it was good (and many people with 3000+ have used medify) i am gonna stick with it.

ps. some people say medentry is harder than the real ucat in some sections but approximates your score better but with medify many people i know ended up scoring more than what they were averaging in their mocks

btw good luck for your ucat x

Yeah I had similar issues and had to email them. Now I have Medentry as it wasn't a risk I was willing to take.

I didn’t like UCAT ninja personally. The questions are quite significantly easier than the real thing, it was all I used when I first started preparing and then when I switched to medify it was a massive shock how much harder the questions were. And obviously you don’t want that happening in the real exam. Medify is most accurate to the real exam, I also got a week access to Medentry in the week before my exam and found that really helpful too- the questions, especially AR, are a lot harder but it’s good practice and my scores on mocks were always around 2700, closer than medify to my actual score of 2800. Medentry’s learning section is also a lot better than Medify’s. UCAT ninja is only really good for the very beginning of practice and getting used to questions I think, Medentry and Medify are better for actually improving your score.
