Hi all, I previously attended the Kings medical conference, purely due to interest. I am wondering if this is something that is useful for my personal statement for medicine. I know this is a stupid question pls don’t attack😭🙏
Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.
The Medicine forum gets a high volume of questions being posted, and some of these are already answered by the resources and Megathreads that members of the community and volunteers have created. This is an automatic post which is designed to highlight these resources. Below is a list of threads and articles that could answer your question (you should be looking in the original post of the megathreads). If one of the below threads is a more relevant place to ask your question, please post a reply in that thread to ask your question. If your query is answered by one of the Megathreads or articles linked below, and you would like us to close this thread for you, please reply to this thread with just the words "thank you". A member of our team will then get it locked.

It's not a silly question. Any experience is not so much about what you actually did, but more about how you reflect on it and how it informed you about and/or let you demonstrate attributes important for a Dr

So saying "I went to a Kings Medical Conference" will get no reward at all. Saying I appreciated the need for ongoing med ed at a conference I attended and lifelong learning is something that appeals to me, ticks a box. You can discuss leadership, teamworking, academic curiosity, communication, ability to reflect, organisation, ability to deal with uncertainty, conscientiousness, etc etc and how you say these demonstrated by the Drs there, and how you may demonstrate them yourself. It is about what your learned, not what you did! https://www.medschools.ac.uk/media/2368/msc-infosheet-good-doctor.pdf
