Imperial Intercalation 2023/24

Hey! I haven't seen a thread for external students who have applied to intercalate at imperial this year. Has anyone heard back yet?
Hey there, thanks for posting a question in the Medicine forum.

@chocolattelou @RacDoof Hi - sorry to bother but I plan on applying to the same course next year! What sort of things did you guys write in your Personal Statement and what sort of supracurriculars do you recommend me doing before I apply?

it was a really academic personal statement - i had only a paragraph on hobbies/interests/extracurriculars. i looked at the course modules and spoke about which ones interested me and my experiences related to them. e.g i helped to organise a national conference centralising on AI, which led me to complete a course in……, and then refer to the specific modules at imperial and explain further. i would recommend to try attend conferences and talks to do w med tech, engineering, anything you’re interested in associated with the course. if you’ve been part of any uni committees too. i mentioned a coding course called Harvard CS50 - really recommend! and then any research projects you’ve done, publications and presentations (dw if you haven’t, i hadn’t done any proper research or presentations - just mentioned my SSCs which happened to be about AI).
