It isn't, it's removed from fuel...

OK.. maybe I should of rephrased that. Why is sulphur in fuel? Petrol contains sulphur which is burnt, reacting with the oxygen to produce SO2

all living things have proteins, which are made up of amino acids joined together (roughly speaking)

Some amino acids (such as cysteine) contain sulphur...
