Butane is sold commercially as “bottled gas”. It undergoes completecombustion according to the following equation: 2C4H10 + 13O2 → 8CO2 + 10H2O and has a standard enthalpy of combustion of –2876.5 kJ mol21. (a) Calculate the amount of energy released for every kilogram of carbondioxide released.
I have no idea how to do this question. Can someone talk me through it?
