Need help with the following sample space question

Four students, Ann, Brian, Claire, and David, are supposed to be attending a lecture
course. In the last lecture of the semester their attendance is recorded.
i) Write down the sample space as a set of sets.

You have to create your own sample space.
Anybody know what to do here?

Be best if you ask questions like this in the maths forum, you'll get more answers there!

But for this question, let A be the event that Ann attends the last lecture, and define B,C,D in the same way. So, for example, {A, C} is the event that both Ann and Claire attend the last lecture, but Brian and David do not. To answer the question, run through the possible sets that could occur.
