I was very disappointed with the movie. They didn't even bother to write a new script, it's just a copy of the New Hope.

Couldn't you say everything is copy of something else these days though. We've had pretty much everything done before... the chases, the battles, the dialogue.. surely we should merit a film on more than just the story contents but also the editing, colouring, music and feel? :beard:

I am a Star Wars fan , however, after the last film 'The Last Jedi' I decided not to bother with 'Solo'. I was quite disappointed by the last 'The Last Jedi' for me it detracted from the Star Wars themes, it didn't even feel very Star Wars. The forced Finn romance was also so wrong. I think the film has several interesting parts , however, as a whole it was a bore and I had never before been bored before with a Star Wars film, this is the reason I decided not to bother with the new 'Solo'.

I liked it. Take it for what it is, a silly cowboy movie that happens to be set in space.

The cameo confused me until I read up on it. Setting it up for more films there.
