Matrix Rank

I am having trouble obtaining rank 1 and rank 4.
Are there any x values that even fulfil these 2 cases?

What / how did you get the rank 2, rank 3 cases? Its worth having a read of the posting guidelines sticky at the top of the forum about posting your current attempt/undersatnding, rather than just posting the question.

For rank 4, what is a condition that the matrix has full rank? The matrix is nearly diagonal.

For rank 2, we can sub x = -1
For rank 3, what I got so far is that subbing in any value of x gives us rank 3

The 3rd and 4th row are scalars no matter what I sub in?
So I'm quite confused as to whether a rank 1 or rank 4 even exists

No, but I suspect you have to show it?
