what sources are acceptable to quote in rs a level?

can i reference media which contains interesting philosophical ideas, like the matrix or the good place? and can i reference thinkers like stephen fry, for example? or is it only actual philosophers that we are credited for mentioning.

You can quote any source - however for things like the matrix/good place I would only use them as illustrations of points, or as media which raise interesting questions/issues.

Stephen fry is fine. I've even seen people get credited for using Douglas Adams!
