yea rite on hicham. we'll have fun during the next 3 yrs. commitment is soo important if one wants to do medicine.doing maths means we have lots of flexibility. lads (or ladies), any of u play any sports competetively like rugby or football or will want to at kings?

Sports? Yeah - Rugby. I'm just not sure I want to travel back & forth to Berryfields every time I have to train/play. I'm a Openside Flanker, btw. And male.

the reason i didnt do medicine, even though i have Maths A, Chemistry B, Physics B and an AS in bio grade B, is that i hate bio. its depressing and boring. I know there must be bare ppl out there doing medicine or dentistry, that hated bio, and just went ahead for respect/money. Im more of a maths/physics person.

Of course! Do you honestly think an applicant is willing to work 20 hour shifts for a lower pay? Most people I speak to quote Medicine as being a "noble profession". Indeed it is, but I think applicants look for respect from peers in society just because they're a doctor.

Another factor why I didn't do Medicine was exactly your point Obaid. Biology at A2 was full of memorisation. Of course thats not without saying that you have to memorise some things as a mathematician, but with Biology, it's exclusively regurgitation of text book material. I don't want to do that for 5/6 years of my life.

I didnt get in through clearing! LOL....how absurd that you make such an assumption! I told you, I went via UCAS extra after deciding medicine wasnt for me.

Hmm..Kings were supposed to have lots of vacancies in Maths, but I haven't heard of anyone who got in through clearing! Just wondered, that's all!

yea that would be wicked. yup tuesday at 9am is when we need to register. early mornin alcohol did nobody any harm right? well freshers week consists of concluding any administration, socialising and attending any introductory seminars and lectures. so i think it may inhibit some interaction but i'll be sure to speak up to u wen I talk to ya!

Sorry. But, I have to say, I have this feeling that you're bullying me, and picking up on anything I say; it's quite annoying. Anyway, its 0-0, and England are rubbish, they missed some glorious chances.

Morocco in 4 hours time.....C'MON YOU RED AND GREENS! :champ:
I'll stop then. I have a strange sense of humour though. Not everyone likes it.
