Haha :tongue: . I was just doing the Jan 2011 past paper and in question 1cii) you had to write the formula of deep grey green ppt and deep green ion.

My answer for the ppt was Cr(H2o)thrice(OH)thrice which is acceptable according to the marking scheme. For the formula of the ion, I wrote Cr(H20)twice(OH)4times and a overall minus. However, this is not in the marking scheme or in the examiner report. Its given as Cr(OH)six times with 3 minus overall.

I learnt it from the edexcel chemistry blue book. Pg -187 . Would my answer gain the mark ? :frown:

I am not sure. I'll confirm this with you later when I do the papers. But, to be on safe side. . . Go with the marking scheme! :smile:
