What is the fastest and quickest way to make my own website?

I need to make a website real quick, one which can be up within the hour, any ideas for places which I should go to start one?

Also it needs to be free to start.

    Thanks.

Geocities has a page builder, which doesn't require any knowledge of HTML and can be completed within minutes.

The best way if not the quickest is to learn HTML, I just use a plain text editor now then I know my code is going to be W3C complient.

I have a policy now of malking my sites work with anything from mobile phones to Lynx. Making good websites is an artform, I have not learn't how do design truly great sites yet. The best one I have seen on here is Loftx's .

I have a thing about WYSIWYG editors, they kind of put me out of a job however luckily dreamweaver cannot do PHP/ASP/JAVA just by using a mouse.
