exponential fuinctions

how do i show that f(x)= 1/x is a decreasing function for all values of x?
Nothing to do with exponential functions, just differentiate it.

You need to show that, for all x,

f(x)<0f'(x) < 0

Hint:

For all non-zero x,

x2>0x^2 > 0
