Types of exercise

I am really confused...
Is step-ups a strength exercise or aerobic exericse or both ?
aerobic - it requires little actual leg strength to step up onto the step, but to carry on going requires good breathing and heart rate - therefore it is an aerobic (to do with air) exercise.

I guess both. For although its aerobic, it builds up on stamina

All forms of exercise do both strength and have an aerobic factor. (at least to some degree) in this case as other posters have already said, it is pretty even.
