chances of getting summer internships?

Would i be right in saying that someone enrolled on an undergraduate degree course at either Cambridge or Oxford will have a better chance of securing a summer internship in the City????

All other things being equal, yes. However they are still very, very competetive - possibly even more competetive than getting a job in the city.
