Where to look for internships (1st year bachelor student)

Can someone recommend a place to look for internships either in the banking/finance, consulting or business industries, especially for first year university students? Or any other internships suitable for economics students? Most internships seem to be for penultimate year students which companies can reasonably expect to come work for them after. Are there companies which just hire students for a few weeks to do some work? How would one go about finding and securing an internship like that?

All advice and experiences welcome…

Look for internships suitable for first-year university students in banking, finance, consulting, or business industries on websites like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Internships. Some companies offer short-term internships or summer programs for students, so check their career pages for opportunities. Additionally, network with professors, alumni, and career services at your university to uncover hidden opportunities and get guidance on securing internships.

Thank for the reply. That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing so far, but from what I found most are looking for older students. Any chance that you know some specific companies that don’t look at what year you’re in as much?
