Time for a state educated Prime Minister?

Surely it's time Britain had a leader who had real life experience rather than getting into politics just because they went to a private school.

I'm aware there have been state educated PM's over the years, but they are few and far between.
You mean like Liz Truss?

I try to forget about her to be honest.
She was just delusional

I'd settle for a competent one at this point.

It doesn't make as bigger difference as you think.

Thatcher, Major and May all went to grammar school and people still whined about them.

May had the most state schooled cabinet and it was arguably inferior to Cameron or Boris's.

The bigger problem is not education but rather the fact that politics is infested by middle class professionals and careerists who think that being a SPAD is the real world.

IMO, I'd make them all work in Tesco and live in a council estate for a year.
