dont think they like letting private school kids in @ bristol. so that could be a plus or minus depending on how you look at it.

er, Bristol has one of the highest (the 3rd highest) intake of Private School people out of all UK universities.
Don't believe everything you read in the papers.

it used to be like that... they used to take hundreds of people from my school (independnt), but have rejected basically everyone whos applied over the past couople of years. they are desperately trying to change their image.
