Just returned from filming as a background dancer for my fourth Bollywood film (3 days of rehearsals and 3 days of shooting), and I can say it was a mixed experience overall. Rehearsals were very disaorganised and unprofessional with new dancers being auditioned and then selected or rejected every day, at the same time as learning new choreography. However, shooting in a little area called Potters Fields Park (nestled between Tower Bridge, City Hall and the river) was amazing, and the gorgeous weather kept all our spirits high! The song and the choreography are fantastic and a huge amount of fun - not to mention that it's got a Garba theme, which I absolutely love! On the other hand, I probably won't be seen in this video as much I was on my last few films.

Let's make this interesting - I'll leave it to you to guess the name of the film from my clues. 2 new faces being launched by Salman Khan (who is producing).
Ranbir Kapoor is teaming up with YRF and Karan Malhotra (Agneepath, Brothers) for this period piece about a war hero

The King Of Bollywood absolutely annihilates it yet again! Long Live Bhai Jaan

Could this be as good as Madras Cafe?

No idea how this trailer slipped under my radar but here it is! Based on the revolutionary novel by Vikram Chandra

Add this to the list of Ranbir Kapoor's most spectacular performances

It's only been a few weeks since the last one, but I've just returned from shooting for my fifth appearance as a background dancer in a Bollywood film. I had an absolute blast and loved every second of it! This time it was an audition followed by one day of rehearsal and 2 days of shooting, but everything was a lot more organised and professional than the last shoot. You can probably guess the name of the film from the celebrities I worked with: Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Badshah.

I'm feeling privileged having made it to 5 films and working with 5 of the most prestigious choreographers in Hindi films. My next goal is to make it to 10.

Yeah it's amazing right? Coming from a humble non-Hindi-speaking background to working with one of the biggest next-generation stars in Bollywood! I think Banita is gorgeous and judging from her Instagram page, she's already leading a pretty sweet life of luxury and travel on top of studying. Having said that, I'm a bit skeptical about her acting skills. She doesn't say a word of Hindi in the trailer and I haven't seen the whole film so I don't know what kind of impact she has made. Seems like Varun is walking away with all the praise - I just hope she doesn't turn out to be another Katrina Kaif. :s-smilie:

Having seen October, she's nothing close to another Katrina Kaif. She has few lines of dialogue so she doesn't speak much Hindi, but her performance is great (& understated).

Varun Dhawan deserves all this praise btw
Some exciting films coming soon!

Looks like it has been made on the same scale as any violent Anurag Kashyap film

My fourth film! Watch out for the dancing on grass in front of Tower Bridge

I thought Part 2 was **** so I'm kinda skeptical about number 3 :s-smilie:

Hmmm, nothing close to another Katrina Kaif already says a lot because I think Katrina can't act for **** in the majority of her roles. And from what I've heard about October (still haven't seen it yet), it seems that Banita's role requires a lot of acting talent to get right. I'm usually skeptical about former models jumping straight into demanding film roles with no acting training as it's quite obvious in some of the more dramatic scenes. Nevertheless, I'll be checking out October at some point just for Varun Dhawan, who hasn't put a foot wrong yet.
Some thoughts on the last 2 Hindi films I've seen at the cinema. Thoughts on Race 3 to follow after I've seen that too.

Spoiler

Akshay Kumar is on a roll!

John Abraham doing what he does best and it looks excellent!

Competing with Akshay Kumar for the Independence Day weekend is not a good move though :s-smilie:
