Its kinda 36/40. https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/362761/response/889094/attach/3/ResponseFinal.pdf
The total for all candiatates who got 40, 39, 38, 37 and 36 = 156
There were a total of 170 offers last year (RUK). It is safe to presume the rest were due to AA programs such as LEAPS with some additional. This means that 50%-75% of those who got 36/40 would most likely get an offer

There's another freedom of information article which shows that the highest scores of UK applicants being rejected is 37/40 (which is) , I'm guessing the people with 35/36 will have had strong UKCAT scores (I think they use it as a discriminator when ranking applicants?)

Rejection came through UCAS track.

Scottish/EU graduate here

Did you not meet the minimum requirements?
Offer for an interview in February. Scottish soon-to-be graduate here.

2200 UKCAT, SJ BAND 3.

I had at this point resigned myself to not getting an interview for Edinburgh, based on my SJ score, so the invite was a pleasant surprise.
Have any Scottish non-graduates heard back yet? I know there is no interviews, do we just have to wait till March :/

Also does anyone know what band 2 scores on Edinburgh?

The SJT is worth a possible 6 points, so one would assume a Band 2 scores 4?

No one will get any offers until March. They go systematically from the list upwards (rejections followed by offers). Rejections start in January

Hi
Anyone knows something about this, in the edinburgh web site,
"Interviews

We are currently considering changes to selection, which may include the introduction of interviews. Further information will be made available online if changes are made."

It's said this, or something similar, for at least the last 3 years!

I had a chat with the people running Pathways for Medicine (It's organised and run by current Edinburgh admissions officers + current med students) and they said they wouldn't interview any of the school leavers so don't worry about getting an unexpected interview.

Unfortunately they are not released until next cycle. But they will be lower than last year's i think.

Why would you think that?

http://www.ukcat.ac.uk/App_Media/uploads/pdf/2016%20Final%20Mean%20Scores%20071016.pdf

Those aren't Edinburgh's octiles (they separate all of their own applicants into respective octiles). Last year's were only released by Edinburgh in October.

If you were meaning why I think they'd be lower, it's because every university's cut-off this year has been incredibly low. It was 725 average last year for top octile, I think about 710-715 this year

It's Jan so I suppose soon they'll start working from the bottom up and sending out rejections! Best of luck everyone  Remember no news is good news!

Sorry to hear, I've seen you in some threads and I remember being impressed by your stats :frown: Greetings from an Oxford reject in the same situation. I hope you're feeling ok, I know it isn't fun.
