From what I remember, no, though I haven't read it in a few years. Use this image to figure it out (I assume you've read it more recently).
In medias res is when the story isn't told in chronological order, but actually begins with the middle of the story or even right before the end. The chronology may be mixed up in any way, but in medias res means that it does not go beginning to middle to end as conventional storytelling does
