Biology aqa a level exams

I’m so confused as to how the exams structured for A Level Biology 2018. I’ve looked on the website and it says paper 1 + 2 for AS and papers 1,2,3 for A2? What the hell does that mean?

It means you only sit 2 papers for AS biology but if you want the full A-level qualification, then you sit 3 papers. Of course, the 3 papers will cover much more content than the 2 AS papers.

Ohhhh I see, does that mean I’ll have to take all my exams at the end of the course? Or will they be spread out, say 1 or 2 this year and the third at the end of the A2 year?
