Sorry for the poopy picture quality but i'm a bit lost for part bi

The mark scheme says to use the Ep formula but i'm not sure if i'm using the right formula
Inital Ek = Qq/4pi*e0r (sorry I still haven't figured out how to write out formulas on this)

I'm so baffled. Has it got something to do with binding energy??

Yeah you want to calculate the 'lost mass' when He3 and He4 fuse and use the most famous equation in physics (E=mc2) to work out the energy equivalent.

I ended up figuring it out. I wasn't squaring the charges on the Ep formula *facepalm*
