What does y/y = in maths?

In maths, what does y divided by y equal? Thanks

1...?

But if y is a variable, then it's not a very smart move. When y = 0, uh oh, you'll have problems kiddo.

First of all I don't know why I keep on seeing you in every thread I go (I'm referring to haxhacks)

Secondly yes it is 1.

is that a bad thing? :OOOOOOOOOOOO
to be pedantic because division by 0 isn't properly defined we require y0y \ne 0.

Cannot be 1 if 'y' is an unknown variable
We require Y to not be equal to zero in order for this to work.
Using l'hospital's rule we'd be safe saying its 1 even when y = 0.
y/y is not defined at 0. 1 everywhere else.

I guess we had also better demand that y is an element of an associative division algebra...

L'hospitals is for limits bigman not for evaluating expressions.

Yeah ur right I've already been reported for using mathematical methods that are too complex for this forum...
