Temporary changes to search functionality

Hi everyone!

Over the next couple of days you'll notice that the experience when you search for something on TSR is a little different.

For the next 2-3 months, when you search for something, it's going to take to you to the old/advanced search page, instead of the normal basic page you now see. This is because the product we currently use to power search on TSR is being discontinued by Google :frown:

. But the good news is, we're switching to the much better product which Google now recommends! :woo:

We've been testing this product on other parts of TSR for a little while now, including the app and some of the widgets (like 'recommended'), because the dev team wanted to make sure everything was working well before we tackled site search, and things are looking good! We estimate it'll take about three months to bring the new search in. It might not look especially different, but the engine driving it will be much more powerful (and hopefully accurate).
