it changes yesterday it was the top one and now it is the bottom one , I know how to look for words on the old one you just click the the dots but for the new one( I think its new ) I don't know how to look for words in threads ,

For the top one, this functionality hasn’t been added as far as I know
.To search words within a thread use this maybe:
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/search.php?filter%5Bthreadid%5D=(thread[br]number/ID goes in here, remove brackets)&query=(add a word, remove brackets)+(add a word, remove brackets)+ etc
for example:
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/search.php?filter%5Bthreadid%5D=7411163&query=Morning+
Or this:
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/search.php?filter%5Bthreadid%5D=7412144&query=TSR
