Hi everyone,I have a question whose pic you will find in next post.

You lied

Why the ratio is not 1:1 because perpendicular means,
the line is divided in half so...?

@ Notnek.I apologise for being late.

Perpendicular does not mean divided in two, it just means "at right angles to".

You need to quote a circle theorem to do with chords and radii, are you familiar with this?

@abdullahAK are you asked to provide a reason? If not it's a very easy question because you can just guess.

Reason is not required.

Yes OM divides PQ in half... but the ratio PM:PQ is not 1:1 because that would mean PM is the same length as PQ!

Thanks for correcting their answer. I thought they were just looking for the reason why - now I see the problem

Ok.....
So the ratio should be 1:2.
Thanks to you both..
If you don't mind,I have another question relating to circle theorem.
So,Can I..

This is the new question.

Draw the line OQ on your diagram and see if that helps.
Notnek,still not done..
RDK,you there?

If you draw that line then you have two isosceles triangles so you know some of the other angles (in terms of m). Also look for alternate angles. You should be able to make an equation in terms of m which is equal to 180 (angles in a triangle).
