lineweaver-burk graph?

how you would use the Lineweaver-Burk plot to obtain the maximum rate of an enzymic reaction
You find all the reciprocals of:-
a) initial rates
b) substrate conc-ns

Plot these 1/:undefined: on x axis, 1/V on y axis.

This gives you a straight line; read off the y value where this straight line crosses the y axis (x = 0), This value (the intercept) is 1/Vmax (Vmax is the maximum rate you are looking for, so just find the reciprocal of 1/Vmax).

You will immediately ask: "Why reciprocals?"
Ok - plotting the actual values gives a curve, that flattens out towards infinity, so you will not be able to get an accurate value of Vmax.
