I can't understand the AA fad. You guys actually like wearing such plain, uncreative and ultra-conventional clothes? AA is kind of like the American version of Primark, but with a better image (anyone see that ad they did on gossip girl... lol they tried to make AA seem like Ralph Lauren grade stuff).

Some of their basic stuff is plain and conventional but thats hardly the worst thing in the world. A lot of their stuff is creative though... I dont watch gossip girl - read the book when i was like 12 :rolleyes:

There is a massive difference between Primark and American Apparel.

American apparel seems like the stuff you would wear as pajamas. I think the idea behind it is that when people look at you they only look at your face because everything else is too plain to give any attention to.

AA are like Uggs - they look horrible yet somehow are very popular.

yeah i do and i look pretty damn good in it too.
as for american primark? i don't think so, sweatshop free eases my consumer conscience a little bit.
and i like their models, minimal makeup and airbrushing strikes me as better as any other generic ad campaign.

I like the fact they use models that actually look natural, but still good.

And I have that black and white dress as well :biggrin:

I have the burgundy one of that and I love it, get a fair amount of attention too. I buy too much from there though tbh.

I also disagree. I always wear the thermal longsleeve t-shirts and the thermal henleys and I get plenty of compliments. AA clothes generally feel very comfortable, are a good fit (on me at least) and are worth what you pay for them. They're not anything like Uggs. I don't even think they're as popular as Uggs.

I LOVE AA. Their clothes celebrate the body...you just have to make sure that you dont have an inch of flab anywhere!

I've got those in black! I love them but only worn them twice and they have obvious scratch marks all over them and I've only been to the cinema and pub in them so I'm gutted!

That's not the beginnings of a muffin top, the jeans go out along with the very slight curve of her stomach. If they were too tight you'd notice it at the back but the line is totally smooth.
